Yesterday was an eventful day. My mom and I met with Al L. at Java Joys to talk about my schooling. I have gotten basically everything figured out, I just have to talk to TAGOS about it, probably tomorrow, and I will have everything squared away and ready.
We caught up with Al, because we hadn't seen him since the end of the school year last year. He's doing fantastically, and I had a wonderful time.
Al eventually had to run, and mom and I left about the same time he did. Before we left, Nathan, who works at Java Joys, stopped me and asked me what my hat was. I told him it was a Dalek, from Doctor Who. He said "Oh, I know what that is! I have kids who watch that stuff." Looking at this guy, you wouldn't think he was older than 30, so that explained the look of confusion on my face at this remark. He went on to say "They read the books too. That's with Whooville, right?" I kind of laughed, which I feel bad for now, but I mean... You would have giggled a little too. I explained what Doctor Who actually was, and that the thing represented on my head was a killing machine from the show. He looked at me like I was insane, nodded, said something along the lines of "that's very interesting," and then wished us a good day.
I loved yesterday.
